Opportunity for Public Hearing on Grant Funds 5309: Bus Maintenance Facility
The Town of Rockingham gives notice that, pursuant to 49 U.S.C. § 5309 Bus and Bus Facilities program the opportunity is offered for a public hearing on a proposed Public Transit Program in the town(s) of Rockingham, VT.
Project is described as follows:
The Town of Rockingham intends to submit a 5309 grant application for $3,787,500 on behalf of Connecticut River Transit, Inc. southeastern Vermont’s designated 30-town nonprofit public transit coordinator and provider to buy land, design and build an office and maintenance facility near Exit 6 on I-91 on 700 Rockingham Road, Bellows Falls, VT. Connecticut River Transit, Inc. is currently located at 300 Clinton Street, Springfield, VT.
Persons desiring a hearing to be held should submit written requests within two weeks of the publication of this public notice. Please submit requests to Connecticut River Transit and to the Town of Rockingham at the addresses below within 14 days of publication of this notice. Upon a receipt of a request, a date will be scheduled and a notice of hearing will be published. A copy of the proposal may be seen at the Project Manager’s Office. Persons desiring to make written comments should forward same to the addresses below within 14 days of publication of this notice. A copy of the application for these Federal grants may be seen at the Project Manager’s Office.
